Engineering surveying courses

5 Day graduate training program- £1195
Graduate training program is intended for graduates in a construction or civil engineering related degree, and ideally those with surveying unit included in their course.

We know that the surveying unit is usually taught at the year one of the university and most graduates are not up to date with using Total Stations. This course aims to provide hands on practice learning to use Total Stations for setting out and surveying to be able to work as a setting out engineer, site engineer or a land surveyor.

12 Day training for beginners- £2995
(two consecutive week or 12 Saturdays)
Beginner courses are intended for those with some experience of working at construction sites as well as those embarking on a change of career into construction engineering surveying
As someone new to the construction engineering finding employment is hard, this course includes topics that are important to learn to improve your chances of employment and set yourself apart from the competition.

What you will learn

Total stations-how they work
Setting out techniques
Surveying methods
GNSS for surveying, setting out and establishing site controls
Using levelling equipment, automatic, laser and digital levels
Surveying mathematics, Pythagoras theorem, how Total Stations use maths
National and local grid and coordinate systems
How to create your own local coordinate system for a site with no controls
Traversing-Establishing and checking site controls
AutoCAD
Site engineering techniques
Quality assurance
As-built site surveys
Visits by existing engineers to go through their journey from a beginner to a professional engineer

Timetable 1.00 to 6.30 pm
